21 Days of Regeneration

A personal journal about slowing down, healing, listening and creating again

About this journal

I've wanted to give myself these three weeks for years.

Not because I don't love my work. Quite the opposite.

I've always chosen the path that felt right to me, even when it wasn't the easiest one. Becoming an artist, building my own business, changing direction, starting over... none of it was the comfortable choice. I've never been someone who gives up easily. When something feels deeply right, I stay with it.

My work fulfills me deeply. It always has. That has always been stronger than the fears, the doubts, the uncertainty, or the difficult moments. So I'm used to staying strong and continuing, even when things become challenging.

And sometimes they do.

The last few years asked a lot of me. Building an online business meant learning countless new skills, spending long hours at the computer, recording videos, editing, creating courses, solving technical problems, and constantly stepping outside my comfort zone. Trying, failing, trying, failing... I don't regret any of it. It allowed me to build a life that feels meaningful and deeply aligned with who I am.

But my body has been telling its own story.

For several years now, I've been dealing with pain and tension on the right side of my body—my neck, shoulder, back, elbow and arm. It's almost symbolic, because the right side is often associated with doing, giving and moving forward. Whether that's the reason or not... my body has been asking me to slow down.

So in the beginning of this year, I made a decision.

I decided to limit my time at the computer. To create more space. To trust that not every hour has to be productive in the traditional sense.

For the first time in years, I actually made that possible for myself.

And it feels so good.

Now I've decided to take it one step further.

For the next three weeks, I'll be doing a medical cure every morning here in the Pyrenees, just a few minutes from where I live. I don't even know exactly what each day will look like yet. I'll discover that on Monday. I know there will be treatments, massages, warm thermal water, and so a chance for my body to soften and recover.

The afternoons are different. I've deliberately left them empty. No plans. No schedule. No project that has to be finished.

I simply want to leave space for whatever wants to emerge.

Maybe that will be felting again. Maybe drawing. Maybe writing. Maybe something I can't imagine yet.

This journal is my way of remembering those moments. I have the feeling they're worth paying attention to.

Friday, 24 July – Preparing the Space

The 21 days haven't even begun yet. But today, while preparing my creative space, I stumbled across an old part of myself that I've almost forgotten.
